Paws and Breathe with Carla Coleman

This unique class for yogis and dogis will allow you to deepen your understanding of, and connection to your canine best friend. You will both balance mind and body, harmonize and synchronize your energies and learn techniques to reduce stress, and increase relaxation. Based in a foundation in ahimsa (compassion) and the interconnection of all living things, this class will open your heart and your mind to the inner life of your four-legged partner.

Dogs that are not aggressive to other dogs or people are welcome. Dogs who bark and just do not stop will be excused from class. All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations. Other specifics will be given to participants before class. Class is limited to eight dogs and will run 45 minutes to and hour one time per month. Each class will build on the last but participants may chose any or all sessions.

Carla began training service dogs 18 years ago and is a family pet dog trainer. She has been a member of the Canine Behavior Team at the Dane County Humane Society. She is certified in JointYoga and trained in Tellington Touch, both gentle hands-on techniques for rebalancing mind and body energy, relieving pain and fostering healing in animals. Carla has been teaching yoga for two years. She gets in touch with her inner dog by sharing her life with three big boys that "do not make her whole life, but make her life whole." (Roger Caras)
