Brian Perry, Yoga Teacher
I came to practice yoga after having a second ACL surgery, on a recommendation from a friend. I needed to regain my strenth and balance, and figured....why not?!? Through the past 3
years, yoga has remained a constant presence in my life. In April, I will be completing my training with Scott Anderson, in the Alignment Yoga Program at Mound Street Yoga Center, Madison,
Wisconsin. I will then be a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level.I am foremost and always a student of yoga and secondly, an instructor. I continue my yoga
education through studies in the ancient yoga texts, participating in trainings, workshops, and a daily personal practice. My style envelopes the dynamic flowing movement of vinyasa yoga, while
incorporating a more detailed approach to alignment (often through the use of props) and exploration through modified postures. I offer an opportunity to connect to yourself and to the universe,
to feel alive, to simply breathe and to truly inhabit your body.

Hally approaches her practice and teaching with a beginner’s mind and a peaceful warrior’s body. She strives to provide a nurturing environment for you to deepen and explore your yoga practice. Hope Henley, Yoga Teacher

Jackie Meacham, Yoga Teacher
After my first Baptiste Flow class with Baron in 2004, I knew I had found the style of yoga that fit me. Having been a physical fitness and nutritional enthusiast for many years, I remember my first Baptiste flow class as a mind-blowing experience. It was an amazingly powerful physical challenge, yet, at the same time, the practice fostered an immense feeling of gratitude, peace, and joy, that I had never felt before. Coming to my mat each day, I feel it is a sanctuary to strengthen my physical body, awaken my spiritual being, and open my heart to all the possibilities. I completed Baptiste bootcamp teacher training level 1 in 2004, and Baptiste bootcamp level 2 in 2007. I also completed the Baptiste assisting program in 2008 in Cambridge Mass. In addition to teaching yoga, and being a mom, I have been a practicing RN for more than 20 years. I feel that nursing and teaching yoga go hand in hand. I love to be part of peoples’ lives no matter how they got to be where they are. I believe that each time a person comes to their mat, it is an opportunity to “clean the slate” and open up to whatever awaits them.

Julie Logue, Yoga Teacher
It’s all about balance. As a seasoned fitness professional, I sought yoga looking for new routes to strength, power and flexibility. The benefits quickly surpassed my every notion. Yoga helped me temper my emotions, add grace and fluidity to my movement, and open my mind and heart to new ways of thinking, believing and living. I learned mindfulness, intuition and awareness. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, and my 200 hour yoga teacher training program through Feel Your Best Yoga, a style which integrates 3 different styles of Hatha yoga: Viniyoga, Iyengar, and Ashtanga yoga. My purpose is to connect students with the best method that will help them discover their physical, mental and spiritual potential. From beginner to athlete I empower my students on their yogic journey. Each class is filled with challenge, guided options, exuberant energy, and heartfelt joy. I firmly believe all people can benefit from a regular yoga practice, and approach each class with the keen responsibility of giving every individual the opportunity to discover their personal best. I bring experience as a yoga teacher trainer, group exercise instructor, personal trainer, and master presenter for multiple national health and fitness organizations to students at the Studio, and across the country. I have been featured in print with Yoga Journal, The Journal of Physical Education and Sport Management as well as Brava Magazine, and had regular local news appearances as a fitness personality on WKOW and Channel 15.

Justin Rivas, Yoga Teacher
I first pursued yoga as a physical practice with the intention of sports injury prevention and restoration. As a soccer goalkeeper and cyclist my knees have been well loved for years. In
2003, while studying in Quito I enrolled in a basic hatha yogasana course to complement collegiate soccer training. I quickly resolved which of the two practices required more discipline.
I have explored various styles and schools of yoga, my impetus being education on multiple systems in pursuit of a practice of best fit. My personal practice consists of a breath focused Ashtanga
based freestyle vinyasa flow. While most days I enjoy exploring freestyle vinyasa, others are spent in the humbling "hot room", and others in restorative hip work. My conviction is that
diversity in my own practice is beneficial and informative in teaching a diverse student base. Further, I believe mindfulness towards the body and how it educates daily, is fundamental for committed
practioners. Undoubtedly, my truest teacher is the practice of devotion and compassion, be them in asana practice or worldly encounters off the mat, tenets of my yogic conception. My teaching
300 hour certification is in Bhakti Flow under Rusty Wells, which I completed in Bali and San Francisco. Ultimately, I am thrilled to come full circle and return to Madison to serve the students I am
blessed to teach!

Ken Kloes, Yoga Teacher
Ken discovered yoga in 2003 as an alternative to knee surgery recommended to fix years of wear and tear. After 60 consecutive days of yoga, healthy knees, a revived spirit and mental clarity he was convinced that yoga would be a key part of his life. In April 2008 Ken took the leap and resigned from his corporate job as a systems analyst to devote his attention to practicing and teaching yoga. As a Certified Forrest Yoga instructor he is thrilled to be teaching his students about the joy, well being and fulfillment of a regular yoga practice. In training for Respiratory Therapy he is deepening his knowledge of breath and is bringing the benefits of yoga to students with lung conditions such as asthma, emphysema and cystic fibrosis. Ken’s group and private classes focus on the healing power of breath while engaging in a rigorous series of asana’s that will challenge you to go deeper, building your strength, integrity and spirit.

Laura Flanagan, Yoga Teacher
I discovered Yoga by accident as part of a fitness training in 1992 and I've been practicing yoga ever since and teaching since 1997. In 2004 I received my 200 hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) certification. I've studied under many great Western teachers including Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Barron Baptiste, Judith Lasater, Gary Kraftsow, Mark Whitwell and many others. I've also had the opportunity to train with the grandson (Kausthub Desikachar) of the greatest Guru from whom all present day lineages of Yoga come - Krishnamacharya. Yoga has presented me with many gifts through my years of practice. I find it has offers exactly what I need, when I need it. I relates well to the Yoga Sutras and teach my classes with the ancient scriptures always in mind. My yoga teaching incorporates both a Yin style of holding poses along with Vinyasa, moving with the breath.

Meg Groves, Yoga Teacher & Studio Owner
Let the beauty you love be what you do - Rumi. This quote captures what it means to me to teach yoga. I feel so fortunate to have found a second career - as a yoga teacher and studio owner. It's an honor to extend the beauty and power of yoga to others knowing firsthand how transformational this practice is. My goal is to help students move past self-imposed limitations and experience their true power and goodness. Along the way I want them to find inspiration, truth, possibility, laughter and inner peace, so when they step off their mat and into their life they take the innate strength and loving kindness they've reconnected with into their world. I created Perennial Yoga and Meditation to further expand the power of yoga. Perennial is dedicated to growing a community of powerful and peaceful and compassionate yogi's who magnify their power, peace and compassion out into the world.

Teddi Hereid, Support Staff & Teacher Trainee
After my first hour on the mat at a Vinyasa Flow yoga class, it is no exaggeration to say that I knew then I had just begun a new phase in my life journey through the transformational practice of yoga. I have always been a sports and fitness enthusiast, but I could tell that yoga presented a much deeper, more disciplined and devotional aspects to its practice. Since that time, I have soaked up as many yoga opportunities as a I can get my hands on, exploring both the wide range of asana practice as well as reading and meditating on the other limbs of the yoga path. One of my first teachers that originally brought the full passion of yoga into my life is Perennial's owner, Meg Groves. Needless, to say, I'm incredibly grateful to be a part of the Perennial team as I continue my exploration of all that yoga has to offer. This June, I'm beyond excited and deeply grateful to be attending the yoga teacher training offered at Perennial with Deborah Williamson through the program LIVE LOVE TEACH. Becoming a yoga teacher is one of my dreams; I'm so thankful for what I have been able to gain through a consistent yoga practice and I'm happy that I will have the chance to bring this beauty into the lives of others.
