Jennifer Pulvermacher

Jennifer Pulvermacher, C-IAYT, e-YT 500, Yoga Therapist and experienced Yoga Teacher. For years, I have suffered from chronic back pain due to severe scoliosis. Like many people, yoga found me when I needed it most! The sacred, ancient practices of yoga and mindfulness have been absolutely transformational for me and my life. Through my practice, I learned to heal myself, to manage my back pain and thrive amidst the stress of balancing career, family and personal needs -- while living with chronic pain.
I began teaching yoga in 2009 and fell in love with it as soon as I started sharing with other people. In 2014, I launched Mind Groove and began teaching mindfulness at work and in the community.
My personal experience with the healing power of yoga inspired me to pursue a career in Yoga Therapy. I am thrilled to be working in the emerging field of yoga therapy, seeking to integrate complementary healing approaches within our current healthcare system. As a Yoga Therapist, I specialize in back pain, healthy aging, anxiety, and cancer patient support. I bring a unique combination of skills and experiences to my yoga therapy practice: leaning heavily on my firsthand experience with chronic pain, plus my career as an organizational effectiveness consultant, mindfulness practitioner, and leadership coach. I am deeply committed to bringing the healing practices of yoga, ayurveda, and mindfulness to as many people as possible. My intention is to empower YOU to realize true health and well-being.

Crystal Hanson

Crystal enrolled in her first 200 Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in 2009 through the Himalayan Institute. After feeling the many emotional, spiritual and physical benefits that Yoga and Meditation brought to her daily life, she had a strong desire to continue to learn and share with others. Crystal has now completed a second 230YTT, 540YTT, Ayurveda Yoga Specialist Certification and Chair Yoga Certification. She is grateful to have had in-depth study-training opportunities with Indu Arora, Sarah Powers, Lauren Walker, Rod Stryker and many others from the Himalayan Institute and Kripalu for Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, Mudra, Energy Medicine Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Yoga Philosophy and Meditation. Crystal shares from her heart as she invites her students to pause, connect, look inside and feel what is happening in the present moment (on and off the mat). Her classes are rooted in traditional Hatha and Tantra Yoga as she stays true to her lineage of Swami Rami (founder of the Himalayan Institute) and teachings of Indu Arora (International Ayurveda and Yoga). Crystal’s classes often include chanting, mudras, pranayama, and stories/teachings from the ancient Yoga texts. Crystal holds sacred that which Indu Arora has taught, “Yoga is a work IN, not a workout”. Crystal is also Certified as a Fitness Nutrition Coach and has had the privilege of studying with Dr. Andrew Weil (Integrative Medicine). She is honored to teach and share from all of her trainings, modalities and life experiences respecting an integrative approach. Crystal believes that we are ALL teachers and we are ALL students.

Keith Borden

Keith Borden is consistently turned on by the stillness within movement, the silence hidden in sound, and the esoteric in the everyday. I love to practice yoga, and sharing this practice that I love for the last decade has been a terrific gift. I'm very lucky. I have great teachers in my life – Jasmine Tarkeshi, Dana Flynn, David Robson, David Gellineau, Manorama, and Rabbi Joseph Gellberman – and being a student is one of the best parts of the yoga practice. The classes I offer are energetic and balanced, and are infused with playfulness and creativity. I strive to live, breathe, and offer the devotion-rich yoga that comes out of my daily home practice. I'm a singer, kirtan wallah, a bhakti yogi, and an interfaith minister. I always chant with my classes, and occasionally I play and sing during savasana. I love to experiment in my practice, and years of Muay Thai, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong have taught me that all movement is healing and complementary to my sadhana. My goal is to hold a space that fosters inner quiet, true strength, and a healthy, joyous spirit where students can re-unite with and REJOICE in their true Self.

Lauren Winter

Lauren Winter discovered the gift of yoga in 2008. At first it was simply to supplement the already very active life she lead. Periodically she would step out of yoga, because life just got in the way. Being a mother, having a career as an R.N., and losing both of her parents to cancer early in their lives, she became a caregiver. In time, she realized what a toll it was taking on her mind, body, and spirit. Yoga saved her. With the generous guidance of some fabulous teachers, she became inspired to reach deep within herself to find the strength to care for herself. Recognizing how valuable this gift was for her, she now wishes to pay it forward. Lauren also recognizes that her "hands on" approach in her nursing career, both with her leadership and her bedside manner, has helped many people through difficult times. There is a great deal of comfort and power in combining our breath with movement, even if the breath is little and the movement is limited. Learning how to breathe in the moment is a gift that Lauren believes can be achieved by anyone. Lauren attended a four-week intensive 300 hour yoga teacher training through Radiantly Alive in Ubud, Bali and became certified in October, 2013. Lauren believes that by accepting the gifts yoga can provide to us on the mat, we will all be able to see the many gifts life presents to us each and every day. By doing so, we are better able to take care of ourselves, and then Pay it Forward.....
