When Amy found yoga 16 years ago, she fell in love. For the first time in her life she experienced a physical practice that invited her to connect with her body exactly as it was in that moment. Years of battling weight and self-image issues meant that this idea was liberating for Amy. Life took her away from her practice for a few years, but she never let go of the ideas yoga had introduced to her. After the birth of her second child 5 years ago, Amy was once more called back to her mat. Now, through a dedicated practice she finds yoga allows her to bring more presence, patience, strength and gratitude into her life. As a teacher, Amy uses her experiences to authentically connect with her students. Expect her classes to balance an invitation for physical challenge through thoughtful sequencing and strong holds with moments of surrender to integrate body, mind and heart. It also should be mentioned that she loves to laugh, and works tirelessly on not taking herself too serious. Amy received her 200-hour training at The Studio in Madison, WI. She is also a certified Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga instructor.

This class is for the adventurous one! It incorporates challenging postures and moves at a vibrant, exhilarating and uplifting pace.
For students who have a regular practice and who are familiar with the poses. This class requires presence of mind and the self-discipline to know your own limits so you can practice accordingly.
BREATHE & FLOW: REJUVENATING
This Vinyasa style class is a balanced approach of effort and ease. It incorporates more challenging postures, including optional inversions and arm balances, and moves at a more dynamic tempo to build strength and grace.
For students who have a regular practice and want to move at a more rejuvenating and rhythmic pace.
Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga
Add some balance to your practice with Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga! Let Perennial Yoga Instructor Amy Speed steer you and a group of your closest friends through an adventure on the Yahara river. The one and a half hour journey commences on the shores of the Yahara River in McFarland between Lake Waubesa and Lake Kegonsa. Boards are provided so all you will need to bring is a sense of curiosity and maybe some sunscreen. Safety instructions and paddleboard tips will be given before boarders push off in search of that perfect practice spot on the river. Once grounded (figuratively speaking) Amy, a 200 RYT teacher, certified SUP yoga teacher and founder of SUP Girl Adventures will lead the all-levels yoga class. After the class, boarders can splash about, bask in the rays, strike their fanciest pose and have their pictures taken before paddling back to land. There is no better way to spend a Wisconsin summer night in nature with your community!
