Yoga 101

WARM

We understand it can be intimidating to walk into your first yoga class so we offer a FREE introductory class so you can step onto your mat for the first time with other beginners and learn the basic poses and alignment. After you attend this class 1-3 times you'll be ready to participate in any of our classes. Find out about Yoga Basics, become familiar with Yoga terminology, postures and breathing techniques. Arrive about 15 minutes early to fill out some brief paperwork. Learn more about what to expect.

Peaceful Flow

WARM

Peaceful Flow was designed for students brand new and just beginning their yoga practice. It's also for students who want a change from the faster flowing classes. It's a mindful, slowly paced yoga class that cultivates inner peace by matching your breath with the movement of your body. You'll build strength by moving your body slowly, and use the heat in the room to build heat in your body which increases flexibility and range of motion. You'll expand your breath, open your body, and rest your mind so when you go back into your world you'll be fully aware of your inner peace. 

Vinyasa Flow

WARM

A flowing series of asana linked with breath. This class offers the opportunity to slow down and feel your body, watch your mind and experience life at a deeper level. It is not fluff yoga though, you will be challenged at times - a good choice if you're looking to improve strength and flexibility.

Power Flow

HOT

Power Flow is a flowing, challenging, strength building, and moving meditation accessible to just about everybody. We practice in a heated room to help open the body and deepen the experience of release. It is a practice designed to invite and take you to your physical and mental edge. The relationship between effort and ease, doing and non-doing, strength and flexibility all relate to bringing not only the body, but your whole being in to a state of equanimity.

Yin

WARM

Yin Yoga focuses primarily on the connective tissue and it's unique roll in the human body. Connective tissue pervades the entire human body from skin to the smallest cell membrane. This series of supported, long held postures stimulates growth and function of the tissues and stimulates the meridian system for optimal health. Your body will be left feeling refreshed and energized!

Perennial Hot

HOT

This 90 minute sequenced class incorporates a series of twenty-six postures performed in a precise order, in a heated room. The postures combined with heat help cleanse the body and warm the muscles. This class systematically works the entire body; organs, bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, blood vessels, nerves and glands. Through breathing exercises, standing and seated postures, students will experience new levels of strength, flexibility and most important, mindfulness.  All ages, and levels of experience welcome.  Please come to class well hydrated, and bring a water bottle and towel. 

Meditation - Dhyana

Meditation strengthens and directs our attention through the cultivation of concentration, mindfulness, and lovingkindness. At Perennial we offer a time to meditate following several of our yoga classes and longer, guided meditation classes that are donation-based. Learn More About Meditation
