Kundalini Yoga is a technology for awareness. It is for the householder, the ordinary person living in the world, to experience increased awareness and create a better life. This practice helps you to energize, awaken, purify and heal yourself from the emotional, physical and spiritual damage of the past. With a blend of breath, movement, mantra and meditation, the practice relieves stress, promotes positive habits and develops intuition to recognize what is real and important to you. This technology balances the glandular system and strengthens the nervous system to consciously ride the flow of life.

Every Kundalini class combines rhythmic movement, breath, mantra and music. This promotes mindful awareness, physical flexibility and builds inner strength. The experience open pathways to change and healing to help you live a more conscious life. Self-imposed limitations and blocks are removed and your creative potential is available to you.

Class begins by chanting a mantra to connect to your inner wisdom, "Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo." After a warm up or two, we dive into the Kriya or sequence of exercises to gain a specific effect. Then relax deeply to the sounds of the symphonic gong, releasing blocks, reducing tension and stimulating circulation in the body. We come back slowly and finish class with a Kundalini meditation, followed by the Long Time Sun Shine Song.

For established students who want to augment their typical practice with variety, or for students, beginning to advanced, desiring a practice focused on energy and awareness.
Thursdays, 7:00 - 7:30pm
There are different ways to focus the mind, and many points of concentration that can lead the mind to a place of clarity and tranquility. When the names and forms of God are the tools of meditation, it becomes bhakti marga or the path to realization through the adoration of the Divine. The Thursday evening meditation class will explore sounds (the Goddess), kirtan (the singing of the names of God), mantra japa (the repetition of mantra), and murti (focus on the personified form) as ways of quieting and clearing the vrittis in order to witness the always-present still point that is our inner truth.
Sundays, 10:30 - 11:30am
Our Sunday morning meditation is a time and a space for you to stop for a moment, to catch your breath and to remember your essential nature, which is deep peace, love, compassion, strength and power. Insight Meditation, or Vipassana, is the ultimate expression of Socrates' dictum, "know thyself." It's based on the Buddha's original teaching that the cause of suffering can actually be erased when we see our True nature. This teaching means that our happiness does not depend on manipulating the external world, it depends on seeing ourselves clearly, as we really are. It's a method for purifying the mind of the mental factors that cause suffering.
Mondays, 6:30 - 7:00pm
Mindfulness is a quality we already possess. It can also be cultivated through practice. Mindfulness is often described as the act of paying attention on purpose, deeply, and without judgment to whatever arises in the present moment. By doing so, we live more fully, rather than feeling stuck in "automatic pilot." Our Monday evening meditation class is designed to develop the skill of paying attention to our inner and outer experiences with acceptance, patience, and compassion. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the volume of research surrounding mindfulness practice and how it helps us to live healthier, happier lives. Join us!
Wednesdays, 5:45 - 6:45pm
Our Wednesday evening meditation is led by Perennial founder, Megan Grace, and is designed to help you explore how love is at the core of your Being and how forgiveness, gratitude and generosity can and will flow from this space when we remember this Truth. Our 1 hour together is spent meditating on what is breaking or weighing heavy on our heart, sharing this with the group, if you choose to do so, and then listening to what Yoga, other Wisdom Traditions can teach us. By reconnecting with the love that we are we affect the energy that flows through us and from us and become more equipped to navigate our relationships with other beings and all of creation. Come and experience the release and the power of joining with others and taking a deeper dive into our true nature, which is LOVE.
Mondays, 11:45 - 12:30
As humans, we all have a vibrational frequency. This vibrational frequency can be tuned with sound. When the body falls out of tune, feelings of unhappiness, impatience, and frustration often appear. Vibrational sound baths give the body a frequency tune-up, bringing energy back in alignment with feelings of peace and happiness. In addition, the sounds produced during vibrational sound baths provide the mind with a point of focus. Racing thoughts are quieted as the mind attempts to recognize patterns within the sounds being played. Eventually, the mind lets go and a deep meditative state follows. This is a great mid-day class that can help increase creativity & connection and decrease stress & anxiety.
Wednesdays, 11:45 - 12:30
Restore your calm and reenergize during this 45 minute Yoga Nidra class. The practice of Yoga Nidra or “Yogic Sleep” is a systematic meditation technique used to induce complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. We use bolsters, blankets and eye pillows to support and re-align the body, mind and spirit. The ancient yogis say that just 30 minutes of this practice is like getting two hours of restful sleep. Take a break during your day to experience greater insight, focus and clarity. You are encouraged to wear clothing that you find relaxing, non-constricting and comforting, although the beauty of yoga nidra is that you can come dressed as you are. You need just bring an open mind to the profoundly healing benefits of this restorative practice.
This evolutionary style of yoga, inspired by Shiva Rea, is an energetic, creative, alchemical approach that changes with the seasons, honors the lunar cycles, your personal energetic needs in the moment and is deeply rooted in tradition.

The practice moves through inspiring & fun omnidirectional sequences while practitioners explore various movement meditations, classical & innovative asanas, healing & cleansing breath techniques, bandhas, and kriyas,

Students of all levels are empowered to experience PRANA - the universal source of breath, life-energy and conscious intelligence - as the navigating source of yoga practice and vital living. The wave sequencing philosophy behind this system of yoga serves this purpose when combined with a skillful, experienced teacher.

Restorative yoga is a practice designed to calm the mind, balance emotions, and release tension from the body. Restorative poses are often held for a longer duration, allowing the nervous system to switch from "fight-or-flight" to "rest-and-digest" mode. Using props - bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps, balls and the wall - and the body's weight, these supportive shapes create space in the body and encourage us to do less and be present.

For students who are new to yoga all the way to advanced practitioners who wish to experience the deep healing, grounding and centering aspects of the practice.
Humanity has endured cycles of prosperity and impoverishment, peace and darkness, ingenuity and stagnation, spirituality and science, for centuries. Where we are today in this process of growth and decline may be seen as we observe—both externally and internally—the qualities of fear, anger, sorrow, and greed, and their proportionate interplay with those of love, compassion, and joy.

Now is the perfect time for aspiring souls who believe in the power of collective consciousness—one that is positive, vibrant, and focused, and fills our consciousness with inner abundance and fulfillment—to take personal yoga practice to the next level.

The class is an invitation to explore the subtle body and the energy currents within. The class weaves together the practice of asana (postures), bandha (energy locks), and pranayama (breathing techniques).
We will start with the sequence of asanas, moving slowly with the breath to open the chest, the shoulders and the hips. The asana practice will prepare the body and the mind for pranayama and the practice of bandhas. The rest of the class will be dedicated to meditation and longer savasana.
You will learn how these powerful practices can change your energy level, calm your mind, allow you to gain more mental focus and clarity and to balance your emotions.

What is a Yoga Immersion at Perennial?
It is a yoga class taught by a more experienced teacher and longer in length. These two features; experience and length, afford the opportunity to incorporate more aspects of the art and science of yoga into the class. It is not a class only for advanced students, although some experience and familiarity is best. It is for the student who wants to explore and be immersed in a fuller practice that includes: chanting, pranayama (breathwork), dharma talk (yoga philosophy), mudras (energetic hand seals) chanting (the yoga of sound) meditation and nidra (yoga of sleep). The teacher will instruct asana (postures) in a krama fashion. This means that more difficult postures will be broken down into progressive stages so you can practice and develop at your own pace.

For students already practicing on a regular basis who wish to broaden their yoga.
A class that incorporates creative, slow-flowing vinyasa sequencing (breath-inspired movement) with a relaxed approach to alignment and beautiful attention to breath awareness followed by a restorative Yoga Nidra meditation.

For students newer to yoga or who prefer a slower paced practice.
