Stephanie Richards

Yoga came into Stephanie's life as a transition from her extensive background in dance. She gravitated to yoga to continue what she thought would be a similar practice, expanding her flexibility and helping her grow stronger. She found in her practice that yoga goes so far beyond the physical experience, and is a connection of the mind, body, and soul that carries over into everyday life. As an advocate of mindfulness practices, Stephanie holds space to turn inward, for self-reflection and self-compassion, positively encouraging all to cultivate a holistic approach to life. She completed her 200-hour YTT with Perennial under the direction of Megan Grace and Keith Borden. While fortunate to have the opportunity to share her love for yoga through teaching, she considers herself a life-long student. Her approach to teaching honors the Raja Yoga Tradition, the practice of Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga. Her modified approach combines creative sequences for practitioners to grow with self-compassion, strengthen the body through a series of asanas, and calm the mind through integrating pranayama techniques and silent meditation. Her intention is to offer a trusting environment, encouraging a sense of community that welcomes students of all levels.

  • MADISON | FLOW | REJUVENATE
  • **All MADISON classes take place at our location in the Garver Feed Mill (3241 Garver Green, Madison) - NOT at E. Cheryl Pkwy**

FLOW | REJUVENATE is a balanced approach of effort and ease. It incorporates more challenging postures, sometimes including optional inversions and arm balances, and moves at a more dynamic tempo to build strength and grace. For students who have a regular practice and want to move at a more rejuvenating and rhythmic pace.
