Shandra Bauer

Shandra Bauer is a curious seeker of what it means to be human and how we find meaning, connection, and joy in our lives. She invites others to connect to their inner wisdom, wholeness, and purpose through yoga, meditation, breathwork, and embodiment practices. Shandra teaches through a trauma-informed lens with the intention of creating a space that feels accessible, safe, and anchored in self-compassion. Shandra’s experience of deep loss and the ongoing healing journey informs her teaching. She uses her life experience and Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapy training to accompany others in their grief journey using meditation, yoga, and connection through community.

Shandra’s classes are inviting, creative, and intended to be accessible to all levels and abilities. She invites you to move, breathe, and express yourself on your mat in the way that feels most authentic to you. It is Shandra’s greatest intention for her students to feel empowered to connect to their agency, inherent dignity, and belonging while practicing on and off the mat. You can expect a slow start to class with time to ground on your mat, a playful sequence, and an eclectic playlist.

She completed her 200-hour YTT with Jessica and Al Noche of Kramas Yoga in 2019. She is a Certified Mindful Grieving Facilitator through the Center for Somatic Grieving and offers Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapy groups. She also completed a certification in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy through Embody Lab. She is a board certified Physician Assistant and has worked as a PA at UW Health in Internal Medicine. She is the mother to three children and wife to Adam. If she isn’t chasing her crazy kids around you can find her working in her garden, reading a book or trail running.

Shandra Bauer instructs the following:
  • FITCHBURG | FLOW | REJUVENATE
  • FLOW | REJUVENATE is a balanced approach of effort and ease. It incorporates more challenging postures, sometimes including optional inversions and arm balances, and moves at a more dynamic tempo to build strength and grace. For students who have a regular practice and want to move at a more rejuvenating and rhythmic pace. The element of WATER is fluid and nourishing. Our FLOW Yoga Classes will help you tap into your fluid nature so you can embrace change in your life.

  • MADISON | FLOW | GENTLE
  • **All MADISON classes take place at our location in the Garver Feed Mill (3241 Garver Green, Madison) - NOT at E. Cheryl Pkwy**

Our FLOW | GENTLE class incorporates creative vinyasa sequencing (breath-inspired movement), attention to alignment, breath awareness, and meditation to build strength, increase flexibility, calm the mind, and open the heart. For students newer to yoga or who prefer a slower paced practice.
